Now i am wondering do you have a fav dessert? If so, what is that? Or perhaps you have more than one fav desserts, share? I am looking for ideas and inspirations for my future food photography, perhaps I will make one or two from your comment

For me, I like desserts that has fresh fruits in them, I don't have a fav though...

So i am watching "Audition" on Netflix right now, this one has my attention up to now still (an hour into the movie)...i really dig super scary movies from Japan and Korea. Like the original Ringu and Grunge. Sorry not into those gory sorts (like the Saw franchise)...any suggestions? Please...

It was a very tough week for America. Boston Terror brought upon so much raw emotions (if you are from another country, did you hear about this from your local news?". I have this deep sorrow for the dead and the wounded. I wept for them all...even the brothers who committed this horrific act (yes, i've said it, i too have wept for them and their family).

While working in my garden this afternoon, i asked myself "what can i do to manage this anguish?" "How do i destress?"

Music definitely helps. My garden helps (my garden is my sanctuary, a place i find peace and time pauses). Please allow me to share this song by Anita Baker - Rhythm of Love .This song struck a cord with me in a very personal way.

I have been working hard in the kitchen for some good Chinese eats, the benefactors (my kids) are happy, really happy as a matter of fact! I love Chinese cuisine for the obvious reasons, but i also love Japanese food, Mexican food and actually i love all foods as long as they do not have dairy products in them. Oh... also, i cannot eat anything without super hot peppers...

As many of you know, i love photography, cooking/baking, gardening, knitting, beading and learning anything that i don't know anything about (your country and culture specially)...I have to say the last one about learning new things is my all time fav. It keeps me out of bed for sure... ( i have this most comfy king size bed....)

Ps. Like many of you, it is fun to read up on your hobby/hobbies...i do not want to ruin this journal by adding my 2 cents in...so i will not make any feedback comments on this journal entry. Lastly thank you SOOOO much for sharing "you" with us

You must pardon my skill of writing up a recipe as I make most of food from memories, sort of like a pinch there and a smidgen there. So...Please feel free to comment if i need to make some necessary corrections or ask me any questions you might have.




To make pot stickers:  

Ingredients:

~1 Ground Chicken breast (or meat of your choice, or you can opt out meat, make this into vegetarian pot stickers). If you are using pork or beef, not too lean are recommended, gives the pot stickers more flavor.

~ 8 large shrimp (shelled and divined)

~ 1/2 Cabbage or vegetable of your choice.

~ 1 Tablespoon chopped green onion (some of you might call it green scallion)

~ 1 Teaspoon chopped ginger

~ 1/2 teaspoon 5-spice powder (you can now buy this from your local grocery store, if you do not have it, okay too!)

~ 2 Tablespoon soy sauce (light or dark, it does not matter)

~ 2 Tablespoon sesame oil

~ 2 teaspoon salt

~ 1 Tablespoon corn starch

~ 1 package store bought pot sticker wrappers

~ 3 Tablespoon cooking oil (just use whatever you have, excluding olive oil)

~ 2/3 Cup water

Procedure:

1. Place chicken in bowl, add shrimp (cut into small pieces), cabbage (see 2 on how to prepare this), green onion, ginger, 5-spice powder, soy sauce, sesame oil, corn starch and salt. Mix thoroughly until thickened.

2. Cook cabbage in boiling water for about 2 minutes, plunge into cold water. Squeeze dry and chop finely. Squeeze dry again.

4. Heat a flat frying pan until very hot, add oil, when oil is hot, add pot stickers (do not overlap), fry until bottom is golden (about 1 minute) on medium high heat, add 2/3 cup water, cover and cook until water has entirely evaporated.

5. For dipping sauce - I generally make my own. These days you can buy the dipping sauce from stores. But soy sauce and sesame oil mixture will do just fine, oh...and a touch of vinegar. A little acidity always makes the food taste better.

I came across gallery this morning (because this image is on the front page . He also has another screen name as a decoy so i decided to pay his gallery a visit (how can i not? this image is out of this world). BUT i was confused and it took less than 20 seconds for me to arrive at this mental state.

He traveled the world? No, I am afraid he does not. HERE IS IN HIS OWN WORDS:

--I search with google and find pictures from DA, then I edit pictures before become a member of DA. But I don't know authors of the pictures now. I found some picture's authors and wrote a real links bottom of the pictures.
-- If there have pictures that belongs to you write a note to me. If you want, I'll delete the pictures or write a real author's name bottom of the pictures.

I'm sure that DA members understand me  


Tell me this isn't stealing (Only a handful of images that he did link the original owners, the rest he slapped on his personal stamp on the images as his own)? Am i wrong? Why do i feeling so angry right now?

I take pride in what i do and trying to learn new skills on the daily basis. I will never dream of taking anyone's work as my own, even with the owner's authorization. No one likes to work for free, to copy an artist's work and re-editing them as your own IS stealing (assuming he did do the "editing" he claimed. Without the original images available for us to see, how does one know at all....!?!?!). I know i will never trust the words of a thief who stole/allegedly edited more than 800 images from others (and got away with it until today).

It's hard work coming up ideas and execute them for the public to see. IT IS MORALLY WRONG TO STEAL IT, PERIOD! Lastly, when your (him the thief) intention is to take/steal something from someone, my guess is that his goal of finding/tracking down the original owners is slim. And his alleged "edited" stolen images has been proven time and again that was NOT the case.

Please report him as i have.

I like all kinds of food, I would eat pretty much anything, BUT no innards, no balls, no ass though...As many of you already knew this, I do not eat any dairy products (dislike the taste and smell), other than that, I will eat pretty much anything.

I do love fruits and vegetables more than meat products though...

When i was making the Jello dessert this afternoon, i couldn't decide the pastel colors i wanted to make this dish with! Then i asked myself "what's my favorite color?" Perhaps that would be a good place to start from that point on...Well, i have always loved pink...Soft peachy color i also adore...here is the result

You can create and share custom color palettes and even name your own colors. I fell in love with the site and I often utilize it when I am creating an art project and I can't decide the color scheme.

Maybe i am just one of those super boring person, i really don't have a favorite flower. I too love them all, even the weed flowers one can find along the cracks of the streets. i do know pink roses were my late mother's favorite. Let's have a chat, what's your favorite flower/flowers?

Incidentally I am a member for the Conservatory of Flowers, San Francisco (see [link]), this is a wonderful place for me to get my flower "fixes". I am a child in a candy store each and every time when i visited.

Let's have a friendly conversation...When i was at the market this afternoon (buying guavas, my life is not complete if i don't have them), as i was selecting the guavas, i turned to my son and asked him "what's your favorite fruit?" He said "i don't know"...

I am still confused with his answer.

Do you have a favorite fruit? For me, i don't have a favorite one, i LOVE them all and i am not saying this to be "political correct", i sincerely love all fruits and i eat fruits everyday.
