there's famous guy in Paris, he was from Japan originally, he owns one of the most famous bakeries. my opinion is do not make such blanket statement, it isn't friendly and serves no purposes at all. A lot of Asian makes wonderful baked goods. do you not see all the bakery in the Asian bakeries? i do!
it does not matter whether i am Asian or not, that's not the point here...
I just mostly say around my white friends BECAUSE they don't get it either. It's actually for my benefit, but, yes, I do know a lot of Asian bakers out there. My relatives I've never met in Vietnam are apparently really good at making Banh Chuoi Hap and Banh Bao, according to my mom. I, in general, just stink at it, despite following directions. I kid you not, I did everything to the T and my muffins still turned out burnt and deflated.
I grew up in Louisiana where food is a big thing (I really do miss it), but in Idaho, they're not so great with the whole diversity thing. In my town, we're one of 20+ Asian families here. There's actually no Chinatown here or Little Saigon because the Asian population is so small. So if you're in a big city, you're very lucky to us who now live in a smaller town. Haha
oh my goodness, i would die without ranch 99 or similiar stores, so yes it sucks big time for you.
not sure about what's wrong with your baking skills though, if you follow the instructions to the T, why would they not turn out great! it is indeed a mystery. i can cook pretty much anything as long as i have a recipe.
