Tapioca Dessert (3 Ways) by theresahelmer Tapioca Dessert (3 Ways) by theresahelmer
I helped my friend who had a low budget for a causal birthday gathering, one element she requested was "must be colorful and everyone would eat it". This was what i came up with. If you find the idea appealing/interesting to you, please feel free to use the idea  By the way, it was a huge hit

:bulletgreen: Tapioca Dessert - What i did...

:bulletred: Cook tapioca according to instruction on the bag. Divide cooked tapioca into four portions. Add food coloring (i use Wilton gel food coloring in blue, red and green). Add granulated sugar to taste.

:bulletblue: Spoon - I added 1 teaspoon Raspberry extract to the red tapioca. 1 teaspoon Blueberry extract to the blue tapioca. 1 teaspoon Lime extract to the green and lastly i left the original color plain.

:bulletred: Small glasses - I add fresh raspberry on top and colored rock sugar for fun and for those with a sweeter taste buds (for the little ones).

:bulletblue: Small saucer/cup - These Cordon Bleu dishes added a touch of sophistication for the older generation (grandma/grandpa, aunts/uncles and etc.). These were prepared with fresh lemon juice with honey as the sweetener. Honey gives a smoother texture. Quite good!

I saw the ones you posted a while back, but I never got far enough to see these ones. I really like the way they look in the cups & saucer for display, it looks really interesting but like you said still sophisticated. The spoons are quite awesome as well :)

there you go again (Yay for you), if everyone can do what you are doing, i think i will get less annoyed with comments like "what is tapioca?" i do not answer those questions any longer, the thing is it will literally take that person less than 10 seconds to find out what tapioca is than expect me to answer them. there's value in learning on your own term, i really feel you tend not forget the information...you know how i know a lot of random stuff/things? because i am always curious and always ready to learn, regardless the topics.
