thank you! my apology i can't remember which recipe i did use. i just use the first one came on Google, i could copy/paste at the time, but i thought it will not be nice posting others' hard work (their recipe not mine)
Good lord, the colouring alone is truly a thing of beauty. Often, we can see pretty photographs and tell ourselves that it's just a case of 'put that there, point, click, get faves.'
I wish it were that simple. As you've demonstrated, it takes a LOT of hard work to take a really good photograph. The leaves, the background, the flower that's so beautiful I want to eat it. All merged together to create an image of everything I adore about both Autumn and the Halloween season.
I hope you're proud of this, because you damn well should be
More, you have warmed my heart. Though I am an Englishman, I have ever loved the American custom of Halloween. Whilst people scoff at the ghosts and ghouls and turn their noses up at the trick-or-treaters, I relish it. I never forget that once upon a time it was ME who was out there, dressed up like Eric Draven, trying to score some candy.
I love this time of year, I love seeing kids experiencing it anew for themselves, I love pumpkin pie and Jack 'o Lanterns, and giving the Dead a day to themselves. Huddling up against the cold, telling spooky stories, enjoying good food. It's magical, isn't it?
Art enriches us, art can pull up a man from his misery. You've done that. You've put a smile on this tired old face, and for that, you have my thanks.
