Wow! I love the color combinations, and the pic is especially great to me because I love tea sets and china sets. Add it with a beautiful flower, and this is simply a wonderful picture! Great Job!!!
Beautiful china, and the roses are well-matched to it.
There's something fascinating about the composition of this photo. The roses pull your eye first, which leads to noticing how they echo the roses on the china, but that little hourglass keeps dragging your attention away from the roses very briefly because of the awareness of the dark object to one side. It makes for a very interesting viewing experience.
I love photos like this - I could make up a whole story based on personal symbolism for each element. Two roses to represent two people, perhaps, the peaceful and loving existence they enjoy together based on their proximity and the china, and the constant intrusion of time into their little idyll, constantly pulling their attention away from what they have. Ha.
Might i add - the hour glass represents the "days" of our lives, slipping away right before our eyes...the pink roses (my deceased mother's favorite rose) were carefully chosen to remind us life is beautiful...
often times, when one see it as only a photo with some flower, but...i do try to give them some "meaning" behind it and it is up to the viewers to pull what they need from it.
